Cave Story Piano Arrangement

Being my first YouTube piano video, I only thought it would be appropriate to make it from Cave Story. This is of me, playing my own arrangement of selections from "Plantation" and "Moonsong." Sorry about the quality! Long live Pixel! And again, ufo_z is watching, I love your PSP port, it's the best PSP homebrew ever.

Oh, and by the way, I'm new to the group. So...um, Hi, I'm Markarian :)

Oh my. Very nicely done.

You should record directly from the piano and release an MP3 or two. <3

Wow, that was very awesome. I agree with [info]ceceil_felias, the public demands quality MP3s!

Keep up the good work and I'll shower you with more fanboyness =)

This is really excellent. I hope you don't mind, but I write for Gloob.TV and I put this up as a featured video. ^_^

I really like how you adapted parts of the songs to the piano. I can't wait to hear more of your work.

Allow me to add my own cheers in with the others. If you made some mp3s of those I would listen to them over and over and over... :)

My little brother can play the intro better than that!

Just kidding, he can't ;) There is an arrangement some Japanese guy already made.

I think you should try submitting your Moonsong transcription/remix/arrangement to OC ReMix. I don't know exactly what they're looking for, but I think they like stuff that's sufficiently based on the original but also sufficiently different from it, and I think that would work.

Nice job on both. You're inspiring me to continue working on my transcription of the Theme of Cave Story (what you call the Plantation theme).

You guys all flatter me! Thanks so much for the positive feedback. I'm going to have to dig my audio cable out of my roommate's truck. Does anyone know of some good, simple free recording software? I really don't have much, besides Windows Sound Recorder :P

I'm really glad you all like that arrangement. I'm still learning both pieces, so it's still kinda a work in progress.

Markarian--you can always try Audacity...it's not the best, but it's certainly free and useful. :D
Now now.
MP3 please!

Good work, however. I admit, I didn't give it a close listen because of time constraints, but did I hear little snips of jazz-like stuff here and there in Moonsong?
Regardless, it was really nice. ^~^ By any chance, would you be willing to share a transcribed version?

Hi, I'm Markarian's BF. He actually doesn't read sheet music — he plays by ear.

We're gonna be pretty busy for the next while, but I'll try to help him get an MP3 made, when we get a chance.

Haha! That's what I thought. Hence, I meant a transcribed version...rather...a version written out. *shrugs* But if you guys are busy, then no worries. XD Not like it's impossible to come up with something otherwise...

We're going to be gone on vacation this weekend, and I'm starting a new job next week, but I'll try to get you guys some good MP3s as soon as possible :)
